Irma Leščinskaitė (born 1st December 1970 in Alytus) is a recognized painter from Lithuania. Since 2008 she lives and works in Klaipėda. In 1992-1998 she studied painting at the Vilnius Academy of Art. In 1996 Irma Leščinskaitė received a D. Soros’ scholarship to participate in the Salzburg Summer Academy of Art in Austria (lecturers N. Spero and L. Golub, USA). In 2004-2007 Irma did postgraduate studies in the Vilnius Academy of Art and received a Licentiate of Arts degree. In 2006 and 2009 Irma Leščinskaitė received a scholarship from the Lithuanian Council for Culture for projects that join art and technologies. In 2006 she received a Kunstlerhaus Lukas scholarship , Ahrenshoop (StiftungKulturfonds) (Germany) and had the opportunity to introduce her paintings in the context of the artists of the Baltic Sea region. In 2011 Irma has got recognized status of artist from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
