Shift of Scientific Paradigms in the Theories of Th. S. Kuhn and P. Engelmeier
Piotr Engelmeier’s theory of creativity is presented in the light of Thomas Samuel Kuhn’s shift of scientific paradigms. Engelmeier’s “Theory of Creativity” and Kuhn’s “The Structure of Scientific Revolutions” are studied using each of them as a means of researching the other. Differences and similarities are evaluated while searching for the “common denominator”. Correlations and understanding of concepts such as creative abilities, discovery, invention, paradigm, theory and shift are discussed. Mostly emphasized are Engelmeier’s insights which can serve as references to the concept of the structure of scientific revolutions.
